WALDORF ASTORIA BEVERLY HILLS

This new 170-guestroom, five-star hotel with two levels below-grade and 13 levels above-grade was constructed on the existing Beverly Hilton Hotel property. The 390,000 sf project includes banquet and meeting spaces, multiple restaurants, a health spa, a roof-top pool deck, retail space, below-grade parking and a new central plant that is shared with the Beverly Hilton. Challenges included a dynamic design environment associated with the fast-track nature of the project, phased demolition to accommodate the Hilton's temporary need to continue using certain structures slated for removal and building out to the property line at this exceptionally busy intersection in the heart of Beverly Hills.
