Salt Lake City International Airport North Concourse
About Salt Lake City International Airport North Concourse
Salt Lake International Airport has been ranked as the 25th busiest airport in North America and the 85th busiest in the world. The Salt Lake City Corporation through its Department of Airports (SLCDA) has embarked on a capital improvement program commonly known as the Airport Redevelopment Program (previously referred as the Terminal Redevelopment Program), which currently is expected to span ten years and cost approximately $3.1 billion.
Through a new passenger tunnel underneath the airport's existing tarmac leading from the South Concourse, the new 850,000SF North Concourse adds 30 gates to the existing complex. This expansion provides the necessary flexibility and increased capacity for larger plane sizes and passenger traffic. The design of the project allows an additional 15 gates of future growth if passenger demand dictates.
