KQED Building Renovation

2601 Mariposa St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA
About KQED Building Renovation

As part of KQED’s two-year renovation project to better meet the changing needs of their rapidly growing Bay Area staff and its commitment to transparency, they’ve redesigned their San Francisco location. The new design features an open space concept with a lifted corner entry, rooftop event space, and expanded lobby. Supporting the new vision for the building, Olson Steel fabricated and installed the structural steel framing and decking, miscellaneous metals (guardrails, railings, and handrails) and stairs for the renovation. Olson Steel replaced the existing roof deck, provided the precast concrete stair treads and architecturally exposed structural steel for the stairs.
