Cornerstone Corporate Center

The project consisted of the renovation of the Cornerstone Corporate Center located in Sorrento Mesa.

The Cornerstone Corporate Center is comprised of 2, two-story office buildings, totaling approximately 63,000 SF. The scope of work on the multi-building office campus included the renovation of the building entries, creation of amenity areas, and new landscaping throughout. The new building entries feature an architectural steel canopy, EIFS, and wrapped columns. Site improvements included removal of the existing hardscape and installation of pavers, new landscaping, and the creation of exterior amenity/gathering areas. Dempsey Construction was engaged by the property owner early in design to assist with pre-construction services including estimating, scheduling, cost analysis, value engineering and working collaboratively with the owner, design team and all consultants, to maximize design and cost. The project remained fully occupied and operational throughout the duration of construction, therefore, requiring upfront planning and phasing in order to mitigate impact on existing operations and patrons.
